EULOGY (SPEECH 2)

For the late President of NCBA

I dedicate this speech for the late President of National College of Business and Arts, Mr. Cesar Menez. I never knew Mr. Menez and now, I never will. Some of my classmates and I only found out of his passing months after it happened, and we only knew this news because of professor told us to make this eulogy for him. I never knew him personally and I will always remember him for the fact that he was once a President of this school, and nothing more, which saddens me. Although he is just the late president for me and nothing more, but for some people, he was someone, a very important person, a husband, a father, a friend, and a mentor. According from the staff and employees from this school who knew him, he is a very private and an introvert of a person, he was an approachable person, he was strict but kind and he really cared for his employees and subordinates,  and he was well-loved by them.

Mr. Menez studied at San Beda College, he was the husband of Mrs. Cory Menez. It was really sad to think, that some of the students here at NCBA did not have a chance to see and meet him personally, and that includes me. If I ever met him, I am sure that I will be one of those people who idolized him and love him. Even though I did not know him, he has my respect as a student and also the respect of my fellow classmates here at this class. He will be remembered for all of his achievements, his mistakes, his compassion, but most of all, he will be remembered by those people whose lives he had touched, those people he had shown compassion, and the students he had mentored to be an upstanding citizen of this country. Mr. Cesar Menez, may you rest in peace.
